For Life the Book i will be focusing on childhood diabetes. One of the goverment agencies i will be talking about is going to be the different types of Health Care people use. When i read the article "A good case of Universal Health Care" I though it had a great impact to what im going to write about because some people do loose everything because they cant afford a doctors bill or even to take care of them selves. so learning about diabetes and its economic cost i realized that people with out any type of Health Care are most likely unable to pay for there diabetes needs and treatments. So reading this article really made me realize that Health Care is a human right and we should all be able to have some type of it because not everyone can afford a cost like that.
let say that the average american citizen makes about $48,000-$51,000 a year, and let say that they are rushed to the E.R because they got into a car accident and broke their Hand, Nose, and Neck and also totaled their car. the doctor fees its self are about $38,000. what are they going to do, they cannot afford to pay a doctors bill that high plus repair their car. the are done they have to declare bankruptcy, and mess up their credit for about 10 years and have to live a hard life because they are so limited with money. Thats why i think that Health Care is a human right and it should be provide to everyone, because with out it our world is going to end up in so much dept. At one point, that we are not going to be able to fix it no more.

Another article i read was "Health Care is not a right" this describes how health care is not a right and should not be provided to everyone at one point of this article the author states that Giving people free health care is a form of slavery because doctors cannot deny their services to you so they are forced to do it and sometimes for free. so meaning that they might do some type of surgery that is worth thousands of dollars and they don't get paid for that, and to the Author that is a form of slavery. This affect the topic that i'm studying because diabetes is very expensive and how are people gonna pay for the things that they need if they cant afford them i think that the government will end up loosing in the long run because if the make all these things necessary for diabetes and they waste thousands of dollars making them and don't make anything in return because people cant afford to buy them they are going to begin to loose a lot of money and that is not something the government wants to do.

I strongly disagree with this author cause he says that people should not have health care but i would not want to live in a world were everyone is sick and has various amount of infections and diseases, because thats only gonna make our world worse and not a save environment for anyone. so not only that but no one is gonna want to come to CA because of its un healthy environment. so that is going to be another lost of money for the government. thats why i believe that Health Care is a human right and it should not be denied to anyone under no circumstances.

Describe the types of health care problems Americans face, and the government's role in seeking solutions?
Americans dont all qualify for Health care and for that they have to pay the full expense or any doctor or other visits reguarxding there health. and some people cant pay that so it is affecting americans greatly.

Health Care Problems:

  • Economics-People Cant afford Health Care
  • Certain jobs dont provide Health Care
  • No charity is available
  • Some insurances lack the necessary coverage
  • The uninsured pay nearly $124 Billion on Health Care, more than the combined funds of the iraq war and the war at terreor

The united tates goverment plays a role in Health Care by Financing , Organizing, and Overseeing. The lower the rate of growth in Medicare spending and advance care planning for serious illnes

  • Medicare For Senior citezens
  • Medicaid, people below poverty
  • Nopublic Option yet

What specific steps do authors take to write non-jargon based scientific writing?

  • They use comparisons and examples. They make the context clear. The sentence doesn’t sacrifice information for simplicity.
  • They don’t use profession-exclusive words
  • Break down everything to language anyone can understand.
  • Describe different things clearly.
  • If there are abbreviations they first state what they mean or are explained somewhere on the paper
  • Instead of putting out the name of a very complex concept, they summarize it.

I will focus on childhood diabetes and how children develop it as they get older or if its just a genetic thing that passes on to their generation.
A government agency that i will be focused on is Health Insurance and the process you need to do to qualify for it, and if you do qualify what type of Health Insurance do you qualify for, full paid Health Insurance by the state or little or no cost Health insurance or even simply benefits from a job.

I will also focus on the economic issues with diabetes and how much its expenses are. I want to see if its true that people begin bankruptcy or begin to fail to complete other payments do to medical issues. i also want to learn about the expenses people have if they don't qualify for Health Insurance, and what happens if they cannot pay does expenses. Also i will focus on how children deal with diabetes at school.

These are some questions i am looking forward to finding answers for during this project
  • Do they take their own food?
  • Do they check them selves during class or does their teacher do it for them?
  • How do they inject insulin?
  • How do they handle a situation were their blood sugar is really low or high?

I strongly support the constitution and its first amendment, freedom of speech. i believe it is something everyone should have and they should be able to express them selves in what ever way they want. this article is about FedEx legal reaction and about a person that moves Arizona and has to make his own furniture out of FedEx boxes due to financial crisis. it talks about freedom of speech a bit and how FedEx made this person take down this website he made showing the stuff he he made with FedEx boxes
